This patch allows you to benefit from a few bug fixes, including one posted on the Linkr support page, without having to wait for the next release. PHP 5.2.3 and PHP 5.3 users will be glad to see the error message "Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated..." disappear. You can get the patch
from the download page and try it out yourself (see installing a patch for help).

Last week, an important bug was reported on the support page. In some cases, Linkr would link to the article section/category instead of the article. Although this is not a security issue, everyone is encouraged to upgrade to the latest version.

You might notice that the project status has been changed from Stable to Mature. In deed, Linkr has come a long way since it was first released in January 2008. The 2.3.6 bug fix release seeks to fix several issues. Particularly, Linkr used to ommit the "Itemid" for articles without menu links, even if those articles where part of a category assigned to a menu. This release should prove to be much smoother than the previous ones.More Articles...
