This weekend, the Joomla! team announced the release of Joomla! 1.5.20 senu takaa
. This addresses a security issue with Joomla! 1.5.19, released a few days earlier. If you've already upgraded, then you might have noticed the addition of the Mootools 1.2.4 upgrade plugin
to the core plugins list. Administrators should keep in mind that Linkr was built for Mootools 1.11, and enabling this plugin might decrease Linkr's usability.

It's been 7 months since the last release. Linkr 2.3.7 brings many bug fixes and will make the overall experience a little smoother. For starters, the plugin and component parameters have been centralized in one location, making the task of tweaking the settings much easier.Thursday, 20 May 2010 15:52

A security patch was released on Thursday the 18th for Linkr 2.3.6. You can download the patch here
. If you were having problems with Linkr not responding, or suddenly not working, this patch won't fix those issues. Keep reporting problems to the support page. Even if you don't get a timely reply, everything is tracked and addressed eventually. You can expect the next release to be somewhere towards the end of April or begining of May.

This patch allows you to benefit from a few bug fixes, including one posted on the Linkr support page, without having to wait for the next release. PHP 5.2.3 and PHP 5.3 users will be glad to see the error message "Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated..." disappear. You can get the patch
from the download page and try it out yourself (see installing a patch
for help).
| Linkr 2.3.7 (20 May 2010) is finally out. This release tackles many bugs and will make the overall usage a little smoother. |
