This article concerns the configuration of Linkr versions 2.0 up to Linkr 2.3.6. For later versions, see the documentation.
Component Parameters
In Administrator » Components » Linkr » Parameters
- Simple file list: Select "yes" to only display filenames when linking to files.
- Frontend uploads: Whether to allow uploads from the frontend or not (while linking files).
- Folders: These are the root folders you want to show when linking a file. Defaults to "images".
- Debug: If set to "yes", this will log everything Linkr does in the background (log file saved in "YOUR-SITE / logs / linkr.php")
Plugin Parameters
In Administrator » Plugins » Content - Linkr
- Default related links: If set to "yes", this will show related links on all articles.
- Show on frontpage: Whether to show related links on all views (frontpage, category, etc...) or article view only.
- Limit to section: If set to "yes", Linkr will only look for related articles within the same section.
- Exclude section: When "Limit to section" is set to "no", you can specify up to 3 sections to always exclude from the related links.
- Amount: Default amount of related links to display.
- Title: Title to show on top of related links.
- Default CSS: If set to "yes", Linkr will load some CSS styles for the related links.
- Keyword source: Choose between the meta keywords, or the most popular words in the article.
- Sort by: Choose your sorting preference.
- External handler: Use this parameter with a Linkr compatible module (not included in Linkr) to move your related links outside an article and into a module position.
- Default bookmarks: If set to "yes", this will show bookmark links on all articles.
- Position: Choose where bookmark links should show. To position the links yourself, insert bookmark links using the Linkr button and place the {linkr...} code wherever you want.
- Show on frontpage: Whether to show bookmark links on all views (frontpage, category, etc...) or article view only.
- Show: If set to "yes", only the badges marked as "popular" will be displayed.
- Size: Default badge size to show.
- Seperator: Text to seperate badges. Defaults to a "space" character.
- Tool Tips: If set to "yes", each badge will have a tool tip (title tag) describing it.
- Default CSS: If set to "yes", Linkr will load some CSS styles for the bookmark links.
- Suppress PHP notices: This should always be set to "yes".
- Article slug: Choose between using the article slug or the article ID. More information can be found in "Administrator » Components » Linkr » Documentation » FAQs".
- Link files, articles, menu items, contacts: Select "no" for any of the links you feel you don't need.
